Presenting An IPSO Method Aimed at Energy Management in the Distribution Network considering DG units and BSs

Today, energy is one of the most important human needs. Due to the limitation of fossil fuel resources, the issue of controlling energy costs, reducing the effects of energy conversion and consumption on the environment, reducing power losses and operating costs is of great importance. In this study, the problem of minimizing power loss and operating cost in the presence of distributed generation (DG) units and battery storages (BSs) has been optimized. The objective functions of this article include minimizing power loss and operating cost. In order to solve the non-linear and non-convex optimization problem of energy management in the distribution network, an IPSO algorithm is presented to overcome the complexities of this optimization problem. The optimization problem has been carried out by the IPSO in a 24-hour period with an initial population of 500 and a maximum number of iterations of 3000 and in 2 different scenarios on a 33-bus network. The results show that the simultaneous optimal location of DG units and BSs in the problem of energy management in the distribution network has reduced power losses and operating costs by 4 and 1.8 percent compared to the separate location of DG units in the distribution network. The proposed method is applied to a 33-bus IEEE standard distribution test system in order to evaluate its efficacy and adaptability, and the findings are then contrasted with those of other methodologies.
