Research on Method and Experiment of Robotic Belt Grinding for Blisk with High Surface Quality

The blisk is the core component of high -performance aero-engine, and its processing quality has a significant impact on the service performance and life of the engine. Manual grinding of blades is cumbersome and time -consuming, and quality control is difficult. As a grinding method with higher flexibility and adaptability, robotic abrasive belt grinding is expected to become a new method for high-quality machining of blisks. Considering the complex configuration and high profile requirements of the blisk, we built a robot belt grinding platform and proposed a grinding method for obtaining high surface quality. This method can accurately control the grinding force and obtain the blisk blade surface with better surface integrity than the traditional grinding method. Experiments show that the method meets the requirements of blisk processing and has good processability.
