Coherent Integration of High-Speed Maneuvering Targets Based on KT-SWVD

Coherent integration is one of most important techniques to improve radar detection performance of high-speed maneuvering targets. The traditional coherent integration algorithms have the problem of high time complexity. And for high-speed maneuvering targets, long-time coherent integration will produce the problems of Doppler spread and range walking. In order to solve the problems, this paper proposes the Keystone Transform-Second order Wigner-Ville Distribution (KT-SWVD) algorithm. Firstly, the keystone transform is used to correct the range walk of the target echo. Then, according to the SWVD algorithm, the matrix is constructed to transform the signal to the slow time domain-delay time domain plane. After superposition and integration along the slow time dimension, the motion parameters of the target are extracted, and the compensation factor is constructed according to the estimated motion parameters to complete the compensation of Doppler spread. The KT-SWVD algorithm is simulated and compared with traditional algorithms such as Generalized Radon Fourier Transform (GRFT).
