Ultra-wideband localization algorithm based on butterfly particle filtering

There are mixed scenarios of line of sight (LOS) and non-line of sight (NLOS) in Ultra-wideband (UWB) indoor localization, which places more demands on the consistency and accuracy of localization algorithms. Indoor localization has been accomplished using UWB technology. Particle filtering is frequently used to address this issue, but it has limitations, including high processing complexity and particle deterioration, which can be improved by combining it with other swarm intelligence algorithm. By incorporating the butterfly intelligence algorithm, it is possible to explore the Ultra-wideband indoor localization algorithm in the context of NLOS and empirically confirm its efficacy and technical viability in practical settings. The simulation results indicate the butterfly algorithm’s use in fusing particle filtering to filter and correct the results of UWB indoor localization, demonstrating the algorithm’s effectiveness in complex environments and resolving the issues of serious particle degradation and high computational costs associated with particle filtering.
