Design of a Class-D Multi-Bridge Arm Wideband Sonar Transmitter

To meet the practical requirements of acoustic beacons in ultra-short baseline positioning systems, a compact, highly efficient, and reliable Class-D multi-bridge arm wideband sonar transmitter is designed. The sonar transmitter consists of three parts: the power supply circuit, the power amplifier circuit, and the broadband matching circuit. Its output frequency ranges from 8 kHz to 16 kHz, with a maximum output power of 500W. The power supply circuit is powered directly by a battery, the Class-D power amplifier employs a multi-bridge arm interleaved common-ground design to reduce the switching frequency of individual components and improve overall efficiency, and the broadband matching utilizes multi-objective optimization for stable transducer transmission voltage response and minimal sound source level fluctuations.
