Small-signal Model of LCC Compensated IPT System with Phase Shift Modulation

The small-signal modeling of the inductive power transfer (IPT) has become attractive nowadays in the research of IPT systems. Many small-signal models have been raised and used in the design of controllers. Moreover, the LCC-LCC compensation is also widely used in the IPT system. However, the small-signal model of phase shift in the inverter and the rectifier has not been calculated. Based on the extended describing function method and a fifth-grade model, the small-signal model of phase shift in the inverter and the rectifier to the output voltage is constructed in this paper. According to the small-signal model, the transfer function is also derived. Meanwhile, this paper also derives the small-signal model with the phase shift in the double-sided LCC compensated IPT system. The simulation results are illustrated to prove the effectiveness of the model.
