Research on Control Strategy of New Energy Storage Railway Power Regulator

The existing energy storage RPC generally arranges the energy storage system on the DC bus of RPC back-to-back converter, so that the energy storage system and RPC are coupled. When the energy storage system is removed due to irreversible fault, it will lose the ability to store and use the regenerative braking energy. When the load of the power supply arm is in the transition state, the negative sequence current of the traction power supply network will increase. In view of the above problems, a new type of railway power regulator with symmetrical distribution of energy storage system is proposed. Firstly, the topological structure of the system is introduced. Secondly, the recovery and utilization of two kinds of ESS-RPC regenerative braking energy are compared and analyzed, as well as the negative sequence current of traction power supply network in transition state. Then a coordinated control strategy is proposed. Finally, a simulation model is built to verify the correctness and effectiveness of the proposed scheme.
