DC-Link Voltage Suppression and Dynamic Improvement of Battery Charging and Discharging System with Feedforward Compensation

This paper proposes a three-phase voltage source pulse-width modulation (PWM) converter with feedforward compensation in battery charging and discharging system. Introduce the feedforward component obtained from the energy balance model in the voltage loop control to decrease the fluctuation of the dc-link voltage caused by the load transient. It also shows that addition of a feedforward compensation to replace the sampled output power value with the reference value of the output power can improve the impact of a delay in the sampling and control process. Finally, the simulation results demonstrated that with feedforward compensation improves the dc-link voltage regulation and the response dynamics of the PWM converter.
