Study on Influence of Impedance Parameters of Multiplier Element in Equivalent Model of Wind Farm

In view of the research status that multiplier element is widely used in wind farm modeling, but the parameter setting lacks regularity, this paper studies the influence of multiplier element impedance parameters in wind farm equivalent modeling. Firstly, this paper starts with a multiplier element on the official website to analyze the relationship of each self-defined impedance parameter. Secondly, several wind farm models were built and equivalent aggregation was carried out. Through parameter traversal test in PSCAD/EMTDC environment, the influence of impedance parameters of the multiplier element on equivalent error of steady-state operating point at the junction point was studied, and a method of impedance parameter selection was proposed based on equivalent error. Finally, the influence of the impedance parameters of the multiplier element on the robustness of the model was studied, and it was found that the increase of the impedance amplitude would lead to the decrease of the upper limit of the simulation time step. In this paper, reference suggestions are provided for the parameter setting of impedance of multiplier element in modeling and simulation of large wind farms from two aspects of equivalent error and model robustness.
