A Study on the Treatment of Children's Body Awareness

This review is assessment tools and interventions related to body awareness in children. Studies focusing on assessments and interventions related to treatment of body awareness from 2010 to 2021 were analyzed. The selecting articles were extracted from four major scientific databases, and the two articles that met this study's eligibility criterion were analyzed. One studies involved randomized controlled trials, and other study involved a case reports design. According to ICD-11 disease classification criteria, two study targeted a mental, behavioral, and neurodevelopmental disorder subgroup. This study indicates that assessment tools and interventions related to body awareness are necessary for children because body awareness is a potentially influencing factor in development. Further research is needed to conclude the effectiveness of treatments of body awareness assessment and interventions to promote children's development.
