Abstract:
Agriculture provides human beings with vital resources such as fiber, food and energy; therefore, it has been one of the most important industries in human history. Efforts being made to reduce the losses of the farmers and increase the productivity by adopting newer technologies. By utilizing new technologies, the agriculture sector could be further advanced. IOT in particular is a new technology that is being used nowadays in many leading industries. This study presents a miniature farm based on IOT systems with an intend to provide farmers a smart farming solution using the new wave technology such as NodeMCU, IoT, WNS. Here, NodeMCU and connected different sensors (DHT-11 as temperature sensor, and soil moisture detector are used to detect water level of the soil and PIR sensor to sense the intruder activity) to detect the real time data and this data is further stored on cloud for future access. Blynk application is used to display the collected concurrent data as well as to control switches of other important devices used in the field like Motor, Fans and bulbs or heaters. It is helpful for taking farsighted and precautionary actions to reduce mislaying. This system provides a cheap and easy to use model of smart farming. Through this report we tend to show the power of IOT and how it can disrupt the agriculture.
