Parallel Decoding for Massive Amount of Real Time Flight Data

In the envisioned 6G network, high throughput data connectivity can be provided for airplanes flying at altitudes around 10 kilometers, and a large amount of flight data is expected to be transmitted. This paper proposes a parallel data decoding framework to process massive amounts of flight data in the futuristic aviation industry and optimization model to measure the performance of this framework. The architecture design, the system implementation and the optimization model are presented. To further improve decoding efficiency, a specially designed configuration table is adopted. The decoding performances are evaluated experimentally and estimated by the model. Results show that incoming flow rates up to 620Mbps (3500 airplanes) can be well supported with average processing latency below 50ms and the system also has high robustness against interruptions.
