Comparative Study on Two Models for Calculating Sound Absorption Coefficient of Micro-perforated Plate

The traditional method to calculate the acoustic characteristics of micro-perforated plate structure is mainly theoretical analysis, but for complex microperforated plate composite structure, the theoretical method is more complicated. And the numerical method has more advantages in the parameter design of micro-perforated plate structure. At present, there are two main simulation methods: sound impedance equivalent model and porous material equivalent model. The calculation analysis and comparison of the two methods show that the trend of sound absorption coefficient calculated by the two models is basically the same, and the difference of sound absorption coefficient result is less than 0.1. The equivalent model based on acoustic impedance is in better agreement with the theoretical calculation result.
