Detection and Correction of Cycle Slip Based on Wavelet Transform in BDS-3 System Positioning

In BDS measurement, the quality of carrier phase observation, which is severely affected by cycle slips, is a key prerequisite performing the high precision positioning results. With the modernization and development of BDS systems, satellites are available to transmit triple-frequency signals, which provides new thoughts for cycle slip detection and correction. A new modified method, which combines the wavelet transform method with the multi-frequency combination method to realize the detection and repair of the cycle slip, is proposed in the paper. Firstly, the wavelet transform method used to detect the generated cycle slip by performing multi-scale decomposition on the detected sequence. Then, the multi-frequency combination method is used to perform the cycle slip correction. In the end, the experiment based on the BDS triple-frequency data is conducted to demonstrate the proposed model. The experiment results show that cycle slips even the insensitive ones can be detected effectively and accurately, and cycle slips can be repaired in time even in high ionospheric environment.
