Design and Assessment of Satellite Orbit Simulator and Predictor

The simulation of satellite orbits is a crucial aspect of space research and technology. Accurate prediction of satellite orbits is essential for various applications, including satellite communication, remote sensing, and space navigation. The purpose of this paper is to develop a satellite orbit simulator using the Matlab app designer and to compare its results with the widely used High Precision Orbit Propagator (HPOP). The comparison will show the orbit simulator’s capability to predict the orbits of satellites with acceptable accuracy. The implementation of a satellite orbit simulator based on the main equations of motion will allow its usage with the onboard orbit prediction algorithm. By using the Matlab app designer, the simulation will provide a user-friendly interface for studying and visualizing satellite orbits.
