Analysis of Block Level PnR Flow to Increase the Cell Density in Less Congested Regions

While going through each stage of a physical design, it is usual to encounter cell density in the placement stage. As cell density plays a vital role in timing management and congestion in a physical design process, a larger cell density results in congestion issues, while a smaller cell density affects the timing of the circuit. In this research, we present an analysis of the physical design process for a 40nm technology at increasing cell density in less congested regions using the ICC2 tool and placement blockage technique.
