Investigation of the Method of Reducing the Measurement Time of Radio Technical Characteristics of Antennas in the Near Field

After a brief presentation of the theory of antenna measurements in the near field, the requirements for the selection of probes were established, which must be taken into account when developing a multi-probe system to minimize the measurement error of radio technical characteristics of antennas. The results of numerical studies have shown the possibility of restoring the characteristics of antennas based on the results of measurements carried out on a sparse grid, and the simulation also demonstrated the effectiveness of the developed design of the Vivaldi probe. Taking into account the limitations obtained due to numerical methods on the one hand and the requirements for the accuracy of near-field measurements on the other, a multi-probe system design was created. The search for alternative ways to create multi-probe systems realizing the advantages of transformation methods led to the formation of two constructive solutions.
