Effect of The Source Shift on the Electromagnetic Field Distribution in Conical and Pyramidal Tapered Anechoic Chambers with the Lens

Two types of tapered anechoic chambers, pyramidal and conical, are considered. Using simulation methods, the influence of the source moving along the axis of the tapered chamber on the uneven distribution of the amplitude and phase of the electromagnetic field in the quiet zone in the frequency range from 500 MHz to 1 GHz is analyzed. The radar absorbing material on the walls of the chambers in the model is represented by the uniform dielectric layer with losses. Using the method of moments in the FEKO software package, the electromagnetic field distribution in the quiet zone of both tapered chambers with a lens is calculated. The illuminated surface of the lens has the form of a hyperboloid of revolution, the second surface is flat. The lens material is taken to be a homogeneous dielectric.
