Electromagnetic Parameters of the Ferrite Materials for Electromagnetic Compatibility

Composite materials and coatings in the form of bulk samples based on the ferrite compositions (BaCoZn)Fe

were researched. The connection between dielectric and magnetic magnetic permeability makes it possible to control their magnetic properties [1] by doping the initial composition, as well as by finishing the compositions. The materials are stable system demonstrating a good absorption degree and electromagnetic radiation reflection of the microwave range. The basis of material selection for manufacturing electromagnetic radiation absorber and brief description of the technology for producing ferrite-based composite materials (BaCoZn)Fe203 are presented in the paper. Research results of the frequency characteristics of the powder material in the frequency range of 1 MHz – 12.5 GHz are received. Recommendations about suggested composite material use as the electromagnetic radiation absorber are defined. It is shown that the composite material has great prospects for screening and absorption of EMR purposes, while the effectiveness of screening depends primarily on the type of ceramic material.
