H/sub 2/ performance analysis and control for discrete-time descriptor systems

Addresses the problems of H/sub 2/ performance analysis and control for discrete-time descriptor systems. First, the existence and uniqueness of the solutions of two discrete-time generalized Lyapunov equations are studied. By means of the above equations, the state-space method for computing H/sub 2/ norm for the systems is given. Furthermore, a H/sub 2/ static output feedback controller is designed based on the above analysis. Finally, numerical examples are given to illustrate the main results.
