Abstract:

The ROV or Remotely Operated Vehicle is a type of underwater robot that is controlled by an operator on the surface or from a nearby vessel. It is commonly used for the tasks such as inspecting and maintaining underwater structures, conducting specific research, and performing search and rescue operations. The ROVs come in various sizes and configurations and are equipped with cameras, tools, and sensors to perform tasks in underwater environments. ROVs are an important tool for mapping and exploring underwater environments. It has stabilized frame, is easy to operate, has high maneuverability, 1080p live feed, five degrees of freedom, multiple control modes, and vector thrusters. Further, it is suggested to the implementation of Passive vector sensors SONAR (Sound Navigation and Ranging) in ROVs for underwater imaging. This may be useful even when there is no proper lighting with adequate accuracy.
