An improved P&O based optimization control algorithm for voltage improvement in stand-alone PV system

The world's energy demand is increasing, and people are moving to alternative source of energies like renewable energy from wind, solar, tidal, biomass, and biofuel. Photovoltaic power generation is a good solution as it produces energy without greenhouse emissions. The Photovoltaic-based super lift Luo boost converter using P&O algorithm is a novel approach to maximize the energy efficiency of a photovoltaic system. This system improves voltage gain which increases collective effectiveness. The intended model is simulated and validated using MATLAB/Simulink software, and the output demonstrates the improved efficiency and voltage gain of the system. Therefore, the proposed PV-based super lift Luo boost converter using P&O algorithm can be a viable solution for increasing the energy efficiency of Photovoltaic systems as the P&O optimization algorithm enhances the MPP tracking capability of the model [2].
