Abstract:
Developing countries have a growing interest in refrigeration for food and vaccine preservation. Simple solar powered refrigeration working without electricity would be very valuable in rural areas. In regions with sunshine, solar radiation is the most easily accessible energy source. This refrigeration can keep perishable goods like meat, and vegetables and is used to maintain vaccinations at the proper temperature in-order to prevent deterioration. Based on various research, solar refrigeration system has several advantages. It helps in calling the demands of energy conservation and protection of the environment like releasing gases like CFC, HCFC, and so on. This paper deals with the prototype modelling of solar powered refrigerator. The simulation is done in MATLAB tool and identified Zeta converter is the perfect module for the hardware prototype model. The simulation and the hardware results gives satisfactory performance.
