A Rule based Modified Quadratic Mean for the Elimination of Outliers in Images

A Rule based Modified Quadratic Mean based for the Elimination of Outliers in Natural Images is proposed. The algorithm employs series of decision that checks for fixed valued outliers and noisy information about the vicinity that is being processed. The Experimental results suggests that the Modified quadratic Mean fairs well when compared to existing algorithms and Conventional Quadratic Mean. The Algorithm restored the image by keeping the information intact.
