A Medicare System for Monitoring And Nerve Stimulation of Immobilized Patients

A health monitoring system is required to continuously track the patient’s physiological parameters. Monitoring parameters for a paralyzed or a coma patient is highly essential. Through timely detection, continuous fitness monitoring has the potential to save up to 60% of human lives. The system is specifically made for real-time health parameter monitoring of patients who are immobile and in comas. In healthcare, technology is vital for communication, recording, and display devices as well as sensory equipment. Consequently, the current IOT-based healthcare communication trend is adopted. This proposed method uses a variety of sensing devices, including temperature sensors, heartbeat sensors, the sensors that can measure the patient’s heart rate and body temperature. To track the movement of the patients, it also comprises a sensor. It also measures Environmental temperature and humidity level. This system makes use of the cloud computing concept and an Arduino-UNO board as a microcontroller. This system also has a foot muscle stimulator using piezo electric board that will be used to stimulate the nerves of the coma patient. Additionally, it has an Airconditioning sensor and a purifier that helps in maintaining clean and purified air in the environment. The ESP8266 Wi-Fi module attached to the controller is used to transmit the parameters. Therefore, this approach makes its simple to provide emergency medication. This system is effective and has quick response times, ease of setup, low power consumption, and excellent performance.
