A Comparative Study of Intrusion Detection and Prevention Systems for Cloud Environment

Cloud Computing is an emerging technology for developing, deploying and accessing any applications and data. An Intrusion Detection System and Prevention Systems (IDPS) provide effective means to detect all types of malicious software and attacks in the networks. This kind of IDPS is very much essential in cloud environments for detection and prevention of attacks. This paper analyses the types of IDPS mechanisms for cloud environment to secure data and applications in the enterprise networks.
