Design of an Efficient Controller for an Enhanced Gain DC-DC Converter using APICs for Micro Grid

This research study describes the utilization of fuzzy logic controller (FLC) for a non-isolated high voltage gain DC-DC converter working in CCM. Active-passive inductor cells (APICs) increase the gain of this system and helps to provide a high gain with a low ON/T. A traditional proportional integral controller’s load voltage is not controlled during substantial input supply and load changes. To overcome these concerns, an FLC is built for this converter. The performance of the converter with FLC is validated under a variety of operating situations, including line and load fluctuations. The results are then compared to the efficiency of the planned controller for the identical converter. It is more suitable for microgrids and renewable energy sources. The key advantages of this converter are its high gain, reduced switching losses, and reduce current/voltage stress.
