Early Detection of Sickle Cell Anaemia Among Tribal Inhabitants

Hereditary disorder includes sickle cell anaemia that is caused by a mutated gene which helps in Hemoglobin Production. Circular RBCs become sickle-shaped and block the blood arteries as a result. Sickle Cell Disease (SCD) impairs the oxygen flow to many regions of the body, resulting in severe anaemia . Although SCD is not curable, Early Detection, Appropriate Medicine and treatment provided can increase patient’s life expectancy and quality of life. This is a methodology for Early detection of Sickle Cell Disease.
