Detection of Covid-19 using Chest X-ray Images and Texture Feature Extraction

Radiologists can identify Covid-19 using information from an X-ray of the chest scan. However, X-ray visual analysis takes time. Consequently, it’s essential to create algorithms for the automatic detection of Covid19 from X-ray pictures. To identify Covid19 cases, the model proposed classifiers in this study. The proposed method uses the fourth-order pde-based filter as a preprocessing before extracting the Local Binary Pattern (LBP), Median Binary Pattern (MBP), Local Monotonic Pattern (LMP), Local Phase Quantization (LPQ), and Local Transitional Pattern (LTP) features from chest X-ray images and making the classification decision. In comparison to results from the classifiers, these results are more trustworthy and explicable. According to experimental findings, the technique can produce good performance with an accuracy of 99.2 %.
