Design of a Reconfigurable Slot Antenna for WiMAX, C-band, and X-band Applications

A frequency reconfigurable patch antenna with linked slots and inverted L shape feed line is presented in this communication. The reconfigurability is obtained by using a switch in the feed line. The proposed antenna is designed on FR4 substrate with size $30 \times 30 \times 1.6 \mathrm{~mm}^{3}$. The various parameters of the antenna have been analysed using CST Studio Suite 2022. It is observed that the resonant frequencies are 10.02GHz and 3.70 GHz for ON and OFF state of the switch. It is useful for wireless applications such as WiMAX, C-band, and X-band applications.
