Soil Condition Monitoring Affordable System Using 32-bit MCU & GSM Protocol to Automate the Irrigation System

Internet of things has influenced the technology of machine-to-machine (M2M) and machine to human (M2H) in a drastic way to bring changes in the society. Agriculture is the economic backbone of any nation for supplying food to the consumers. A huge number of the world's work force are earning their livelihood by farming and agricultural businesses. Despite, farmers of the third world countries still deprived of the technological touches and advancements in their field consequently, facing financial losses. Modern communication and progressive digital systems can assist farmers to become aware of continuous cropping and overuse of fertilizers to maintain soil productivity and fertility. Soil moisture, soil temperature, pH level and environmental (rainfall, dew) conditions directly effects the productivity of crops. level through a 32-bit microcontroller and Sensor along with GSM technology to facilitate the farmers for equable and affordable automated irrigation in future. It will encourage moderated pesticide spraying and fertilization to the soil to cultivate the land efficiently.
