The Importance of Switching to Green Energy from Photovoltaic Sources and its Impact on the Industrial Environment

The topic of the article is associated with the current concern, at a global level, in the sector of energy from renewable sources, with an emphasis on the conversion of photovoltaic energy into electricity. This paper mainly promotes the advantages of switching to the use of alternative energy sources in the supply of electricity for industrial spaces such as: production halls, storage halls, agricultural halls, etc. This article highlights the important environmental factors that greatly influence the performance of a photovoltaic system, namely the location, the amount of absorbed sunlight-which is essential in any photovoltaic system for its financial feasibility, solar irradiation, solar insulation, electricity production depending on available solar hours per day, air mass, Sun angle, PV orientation and shading level. Also, in this paper it is made a review of the important electrical characteristics for photovoltaic cells such as maximum output power, short circuit current, open circuit voltage, filling factor, power produced by solar cells, solar intensity and the negative way in which the temperature at a very high level decreases the performance of the photovoltaic cells. The purpose of the study is to focus on what must be taken into account at a theoretical level and not only for the implementation of such a system with a good efficiency on the spaces that serve the industrial environment, following the possibilities of expanding the use of green energy and reducing the CO

footprint and greenhouse gases.
