Language and Cultural Education Adaptation in the Multilingual Environment

The article deals with the peculiarities of education adaptation procedure in the process of multilingual environment on the example of African education. The research work is aimed at comparing and contrasting two education systems with English and French as the language basis. According to the research work African countries face the challenge in educational processes for all levels: primary, secondary, high level education due to having chosen foreign languages as the ground. The variety of local ethnic majorities and minorities languages is the reason to have a foreign language (French and English) or even two as the official language of the country and of education system within the countries of Africa. English basis education starts with the step of secondary level and is taught as the foreign language. Primary education in African countries with English as the official language is based on one of local languages majorities, sometimes alien to children belonging to ethnic minorities groups. High education is available only in English. French basis education starts with the primary step and is based on oral practice approach which has proved to be successful. Reading and writing are added during secondary education procedure. Education with French as the language basis includes serious testing system proving the level of knowledge and psychological aspects not only among students but teachers as well who have to confirm the level of knowledge twice a semester. All African countries face the problem of adults’ illiteracy which is solved by means of special group courses education based on local languages ground.
