Research Project for the Shape Analysis of Arched Tent Roof Structures

Tent construction is rapidly evolving engineering field with promising prospects. On the other hand, lack of competent specialists is one of the main problems for implementing the tent buildings into practice. The shape analysis of the arched tent roofs is proposed in form of a research project. It contributes to the professional training in the field of developing the tent building constructions. The problem for finding the equilibrium shape of the soft membrane of the tent structures is considered. Specialized software package for tent structure design, as well as, the general-purpose program for mathematical calculation are used. Static analysis of the tent structures subjected to external loads is considered. The analysis of the deformed surface is proposed.
