Natural Language Processing in Solving Resource Constrained Project Scheduling Problems

This paper investigates the potential of using Natural Language Processing (NLP) in resolving one of the crucial issues in project management - Resource Constrained Project Scheduling Problems (RCPSP). The conventional methods used to solve RCPSP involve mathematical models that require structured data inputs, which can be time-consuming and may lead to errors. The authors of the paper aim to demonstrate the benefits of using NLP to extract and process project data from unstructured sources, such as natural language written project plans, to improve the accuracy and efficiency of scheduling solutions. The study concludes that NLP can play a significant role in solving RCPSP and provides new avenues for future research in this field. The paper contributes to the literature by highlighting the importance of NLP in project scheduling and its potential to provide more effective solutions for resource-constrained projects.
