A compact antenna with CPW feed for L, C, S and X band applications

This paper presents the compact CPW feed antenna is presented with the multi-band having L,S, C, and X band. By adjusting the size of the design, this antenna can meet the demand for multi-band. The antenna size is 70 mm x 70 mm and is made of FR 4 Epoxy having a relative permittivity of εr = 4.4, , with a height of substrate is 1.6 mm. The antenna has two parasitic patches of rectangular shape on either side of the feeding line. The patches have a corner cut on the two sides by which the antenna’s bandwidth has been enhanced. The two branches from the feeding line are used in the design to excite patches with different angles. The Return loss, Impedance bandwidth, VSWR and Gain the designed antenna is discussed in and shown within the paper. The designed antenna has a wide impedance bandwidth along with good gain. The multiple frequencies are 1.5, 3.5 , 5, and 8.4 GHz.
