Features of Time Error Measurements in Time Scale Synchronization Systems

Time scale difference measurements are performed to evaluate the accuracy of time scales generated by master clocks and accepted by slave clocks of client equipment. It is necessary to correctly set the limit values for the characteristics describing the time scale error, as well as take into account the features of the measurement scheme and the parameters of the measuring instruments. This article describes some of the features of performing measurements of the time error - the main indicator for assessing the accuracy of the time scale. Also for various time error measurement schemes, the main methodological errors are given, which must be taken into account when evaluating the measurement results.
