Guaranteeing Prescribed Performance Bounds for Uncertain Nonlinear Systems in the Presence of State Measurement Losses*

In this paper, a first step towards achieving prescribed performance attributes on the output tracking error for uncertain continuous-time nonlinear systems in the presence of finite-time intervals of state measurement losses, is made. The proposed control strategy guarantees that the output tracking error is confined in a pre-specified desired region, in fixed-time no greater than a pre-defined constant, which can be selected arbitrarily small, provided that in the absence of state-loss phenomenon, a minimum time interval of successfully received measurement is guaranteed. Further, we prove that all signals in the closed-loop remain bounded. The theoretical findings are validated by simulation studies
