Multiphysics effect study of high-voltage electrical pulses on rock pores

High-voltage electric pulse rock breaking technology is an efficient and environmentally friendly rock breaking technology. A large number of experimental results show that under the condition of a certain electrode spacing and pulse voltage, High voltage electric pulse has obvious effect on rock breaking. However, there is still a certain gap in the research of internal mechanism of pulsed rock breaking technology. In the past, there were some deviations in the simulation to establish a two-dimensional model from a single electric field and analyze the reaction from a macroscopic perspective. In this paper, the finite element analysis software COMSOL Multiphysics is used to analyze the process of high voltage electric pulse acting on rock pores from the perspective of electric field combined with thermal field and force field. It is found that under the simulation condition of 13KV voltage acting on 0.4mm aperture air pore in concrete, the reaction can form plasma channel and the thermal expansion pressure generated can crack the surrounding rock.
