From Electromobility Use Cases to an Interactive System Architecture: the Harmon-E SysArc in the unIT-e(exp 2) Project

Sustainable and efficient electromobility can only be implemented with the help of a holistic system approach based on widely accepted norms and standards. Bringing together players from different industries, such as automotive and energy, IT infrastructure, charging infrastructure, and the field of science poses challenges. An efficient holistic system approach requires a uniform definition and comprehension of roles, processes, and interfaces. Based on the unIT-e(exp 2) project use case methodology technical implementations of five electromobility use cases of the cluster Harmon-E are layered into an interactive system architecture. The overlaying structure of the interactive visualization significantly avoids information overload. Further, other use case combinations may be shown separately. The interactive Harmon-E system architecture helps stakeholders to understand complex electromobility and energy system interactions and is ultimately the basis for effective implementation of the use cases in a field trial.
