Exergaming Intervention on Motor Coordinated Mobility and Cognitive Function Development for Neurological Rehabilitation

In terms of public health, one of the major concerns the healthcare sector is experiencing in this era is the high prevalence of functional disability and cognitive impairment. Technologies have been extensively utilized to enhance interactions for people with disabilities. Exergames have been a promising platform to support individuals in developing visual-motor coordination since it provides a technologically interactive experience to engage them in various motor activities. For those who experience deficits in motor skills and executive function, exergames can be a solution here in a more effective way that is safe for use in clinical setup for broader applicability into therapeutic paths. This research is proposing different therapeutic instruments to provide solutions to the learning and enhancement of chronic deficiencies in patients according to their personal needs and characteristics. Furthermore, the developed gaming platform aims to attract users to train their focus with various game types to perform their needed exercises for extended periods. In this study, authors portrayed the methodological studies with clinical implementation.
