Health Monitoring System for Dairy Farming

Traditional animal farms have a low level of automation and benefits. To promote the development of animal husbandry, we design a health monitoring system for dairy farming. ESP8266 is used as the main control chip, MAX30102 heart rate sensor and MLX90614 infrared temperature sensor are used in the lower node detection unit, and a mobile phone APP is developed on the Android platform. The proposed system has the functions of real-time health detection, data storage, and alarm. Compared with the traditional measurement methods, the average deviation of the health monitoring system in temperature measurement is within 0.1℃, the average deviation of heart rate detection is within 3 times/min, and the significance coefficient of the t-test is greater than 0.05. The detection method is reliable with a short detection time, and the real-time performance is high. The proposed health monitoring system of dairy farming obtains the health status of animals and improves the intelligence level of animal husbandry.
