PV FED Cascaded Multilevel Boost Converter with Multilevel Inverter Using MPPT

In recent years, solar energy has become more prevalent. In a result of this, many countries are establishing solar power-producing plants. Establishing an experimental installation for a photovoltaic (PV)-based power system with a cascaded multilevel boost DC-DC converter with a multilevel H-Bridge inverter circuit is recommended as a way to test the system’s ability to function. This paper presents a solar PV-fed Cascaded multilevel boost converter with a multilevel inverter. A PV module, a Cascaded multilevel boost converter, and a multilevel inverter comprise the proposed methodology. The Cascaded multilevel boost converter boosts the voltage of the PV module by connecting two boost converters in series. The Cascaded multilevel boost converter’s DC output is converted into an AC output by multilevel inverter. The proposed methodology can produce an output waveform of high quality with far less THD and greater efficiency. MATLAB/Simulink software is utilized to design and simulate the system, and the simulated results indicate how effective the proposed methodology is. Renewable energy systems such solar PV systems, wind energy systems, and hybrid energy systems were expected to be potential applications for the proposed system. Simulation results are conveyed through MATLAB/Simulink domain and the working of the suggested converter is realized.
