Design and Analyzing of DC Transformer Efficiency Enhancement for Microgrid Applications

Our projects deal with the step-down chopper (or) buck converter and its operation. Because of using transformer circuit, we can see less output and losses are going to produce while using the transformer circuit. When we use transformer, we are going to observe many losses because of that we are going to see the output less in the circuit, and to get efficient power at the output side we are using chopper. We give in the input side a fixed supply (Vs) and the output side we are going to see a variable dc output (Vout). The output which we are going to get increased dc voltage or decreased dc voltage because the type which we are using in the circuit. By using the step-up chopper, the output (Vout) will be more than the supply voltage (Vs), if we use step-down chopper the output voltage (Vout) will be less than the supply voltage (Vs), if we use a buck/boost chopper we can perform the both operations (step-up step-down) at a time. Because of using a chopper instead of transformer in the circuit we get more voltage than which we get in the transformer. In chopper circuit we may not observe losses. In this project we are going to modelling the equations for the new circuit according to the conditions which we are having for the chopper.
