Planetary Structures Detection and Segmentation Using Deep Learning

Detecting geological structures on other planets can help in exploring fascinating features and understand the geological significance of the structures, factors such as age and the planet’s geological history. There does not exist one single algorithm that works for all the prominent structures. Hence, this paper aims to implement and test various deep learning algorithms based on CNN to accurately predict and classify the input images to respective planetary structures. The agenda is to formulate a standardized algorithm for classifying all the planetary structures.
