A CCT Tunable Daylight-Integrated LED Lighting System for the Improvement of Health and Well-Being of Human Beings

In recent years, the workplace timings and culture have been changed significantly due to digitization and globalization. Employees and students are generally confined to watching at digital display within a large building for the most of the timings of a day and even after sunshine hours. In this context, most of the recent studies state that the natural light has a positive effect on the improvement of health and well-being of human beings. To resolve the issue, this paper aims to develop a low-cost, microcontroller-based, LED lighting system which can produce a dynamic CCT (correlated color temperature) to mimic the daylight color throughout the day. In this implementation, two broadband LED i.e. the color of warm white (WW) and cool white (CW) LED have been mixed to get the different CCT and intensity. The spectrum color of the produced light will be as close as possible to the daylight which will help to enhance our mental health throughout the day when the people are working in the indoor environment.
