Perspectives on Use of Biomonitoring Sensors in 24-Hour Adaptive Lighting Systems

This article discusses the perspectives of implementing biomonitoring in adaptive lighting systems. The hardware and software requirements of an adaptive lighting system are formulated with a focus on performance improvement and health maintenance of medical personnel. The study showed that under normal psychophysical conditions, lighting changes positively affect sleep, anxiety, and performance. The development of adaptive lighting systems according to the formulated requirements is possible. However, it requires prior calibration of the lighting and collection of data on the psychophysiological state.
