Power Optimization of Two Stage Operational Amplifier Using Power Gating Technique

This article uses the power gating technique to provide a redesigned operational amplifier topology. A twostage operational amplifier requires more power which leads to an increase in power dissipation. To overcome this power gating technique is used. So, the power gating approach is used, by connecting two extra header transistors in parallel. One well-liked low power solution is power gating. Power gating can be used to turn off the power supply to the amplifier when it is not being used, such as during idle periods or when the applied input signal is below a certain threshold. The gpdkl80nm library files are used to design and simulate the full new architecture in Cadence Virtuoso tools.
