Genetic Algorithm Tuned PID Controller in Wind System with IoT Technology

Since it is viewed as a necessary, abundant, and unlimited energy source today, wind energy has grown in significance in electrical power uses. In wind system applications, permanent magnet synchronous machines (PMSMs) are mostly used whenever the system needs quick torque response and the greatest performance. To control the inverter switches of the wind system, a Genetic algorithm (GA) optimization technique is employed for better performance. The Proportional-Integral-Derivative (PID) factor goals are searched using the optimization approach. The reality that a normal PID controller's values are not constant is one of its disadvantages. Moreover, these traditional control rules may be inadequate since they lack robustness, particularly when the system's accuracy needs, as well as other dynamic behavior, are severe. In order to increase stability, the innovative concept in this work is to incorporate the GA concept into the control method utilized in the wind energy conversion system (WECS). Measuring the parameters of the system is important and so the internet of things (IoT) is used. Using IoT technology over a GPRS GSM gateway would enable us to operate the system locally or remotely by directly or automatically controlling, monitoring, data logging, and spotting errors before they occur.
