Decoupling Control for Aviation Dual-Redundancy Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor With 0° Phase Shift

Dual-redundancy permanent magnet synchronous motor (DR-PMSM) is applicable to aviation for its reliability and high power density. However, the DR-PMSM without magnet isolation may lose control while adopting traditional two-individual current control. The article studied decoupling control of DR-PMSM with 0° phase shift, which is lacking in current research. The article proposed a decoupling model of DR-PMSM based on virtual current loops and designed virtual loop regulators to eliminate the coupling influence. Based on the decoupling model, the influence of coupling on virtual current loops is analyzed. Then, the article revealed that two-individual current control is rank-deficient for current control of DR-PMSM. Finally, experiments were implemented to compare the decoupling control and two-individual current control. The experiment results show that the proposed decoupling control can improve the dynamic performance of virtual current loops of DR-PMSM and realize hot backup.
